Consultant appointment after 2nd ‘ectopic’ from single blastocyst transfer.

Hello everyone,

Thanks so much for the support already, I’m so glad I joined this sight. My husband and I have our follow-up consultation appointment next week and I’m wondering if you were us- what would you ask?

As you all know, this was our 4th round and I’ve only ever been pregnant twice. First ectopic was in the tube. Most recent failure (I got a letter in from hospital/surgeon to say that they are sure they picked the remaining pregnancy from my pelvis) the way the letter is written makes me think that they believe the pregnancy tried to go into my only remaining tube but failed and ended up growing on my pelvis.

I don’t want the standard type of questions as I’ve been through that. I really want to get straight into: why they think this has happened! 😢 if I could get some answers I truly feel it will help my mental health. Any advice/responses appreciated. X
