Our two good day 3 embryos failed to make blast and slowed down to be a morula and a cavitating morula. So they asked me to have both transferred as they gave us a low success rate of just 10%.
I'm 36, have a 5 year old conceived naturally, one miscarriage. Our first ivf cycle was short protocol gonal f and we produced 2 blasts, one grade C and a day 6 grade A. Now on long protocol due to uneven follicle growth and its much worse.
Our consultation talked about wanting to do some blood tests to check my chromosomes. Is this the karyotyping test?
Maybe a reduction in meds would be better and I would respond better to mild IVF.
Any advice gratefully received. X

Just wanted to say don’t give up hope as I’ve been pregnant twice (one early mc and now have a 7 month old) following IVF where we were told our embryos were developing too slowly and just to put two back with a low chance of success. Maybe sometimes they just do better in your own body and if you’ve also been pregnant naturally before then that’s really positive.
No advice about the testing/ mild IVF side of things I’m afraid, but wishing you lots of luck xx
Please don’t give up hope. I had two morulas transferred and now have an 8 week old son. I’m 36 too, we had male factor issues, our embryos were growing as expected until day 3 and then slowed down. I really believe they do better once they’re transferred. Sorry I don’t have any advice about further tests for you but I wish you all the best x
So good to see this! We have mfi and just had our only 2 embryos transferred that are cavitating embryos . We had 10 on day 3 then just 2 on day 5 that as I learned today weren’t quite at say. Hoping they do well now transferred this gives me hope 🤞
Wishing you all the best, your embryos are in the best place now. Honestly we had low expectations but our son is now 4 months old and has been growing ahead of the curve ever since the first scan! Thinking of you and hoping for a positive result for you x
