Had EPU this morning with 7 eggs collected out of which 5 were mature. Will find out how many fertilised in the morning.
My FS came and saw me afterwards which is rare so I new something was wrong. She said that the change in protocol has reduced my lining and progesterone and that they will be freezing any good embryos we have to transfer at a later date. She said if there is an average looking embryo or two that won’t survive a freeze/thaw she will transfer them as even though their low they can support a pregnancy it’s just not ideal.
I asked if there was anything I could have /can do, but she said it’s just have my body responded to the protocol.
I was really looking forward to hopefully doing a double transfer on Wednesday but it’s not meant to be.
Has anyone had something similar happen to their progesterone and lining on a long down reg cycle? My previous cycles my progesterone and lining have been “perfect”.

Just hang in there. I haven't had lining problems on a long reg cycle but my clinic does a freeze all protocol anyway unless there are a few embryos that don't look like they will survive a freeze and thaw. There is a lot of research to say freeze all produces high positive results as it allows your body time to recover.
I had a poor fertilization rate in a cycle i did in March and had a quick transfer on day 3 which ended up as a BFN. The embryo just wasn't strong enough.
I've had a much better cycle just recently and have top grade embryos in the freezer. I've just had a FET cycle cancelled though due to lining problems which was massively disappointing. BUT there are things you can do to increase the lining, and it's so much better to try and do this when you aren't trying to prepare for a fresh transfer and you've got the reassurance that your embryos are safe and waiting for you. Give your body time to prepare properly and give your embryos the best place to snuggle in.
I know it's disappointing when all you want is the embryos back in your body, but as you say it's not meant to be just yet, but soon it will be.
It’s so gutting to have one cancelled isn’t it? Totally get it! It’s an emotional rollercoaster of hope and excitement followed by disappointment and sadness, but the hope comes back quickly when you hear how frozen can actually be more successful etc! For me the emotions change so quickly! Mine wasn’t cancelled because of lining issues but due to possible OHSS. I had a frozen one 7 weeks later and unfortunately BFN. They found nothing wrong though! Progesterone was low)ish) so this time I have the injections from earlier (today possibly.... got a scan to find out!)
What’s the change in protocol you had?
I had the pessaries only and then day after transfer added in lentogest injections. So this time I will have the injections from the same time as the pessaries. But that’s the only change. They didn’t really seem to think it would make much difference but said do it anyway just in case!
Hoping my lining is thick enough today! And just fingers crossed I guess!
Good luck for the news on your eggs too! Again it is an emotional rollercoaster.... yay 7, oh 5... etc etc and nothing we can do! Hoping you get some that you can transfer!! Xxxxx
