Czech Republic for IVF and donor eggs

Hi everyone... I’m going through my second cycle but at 41 the outcome isn’t looking great. I’m still holding on to all the hope in the world, but If it’s another ‘no’, Me and my husband will look to use donor eggs. I have heard some great things about Czech clinics, and whilst I’m told you can’t post anything on here with names etc, I’d be really grateful if anyone with any success stories could PM me the details and costs. Online there is loads of information from the actual clinics and comparison pages, but with over 30 + clinics I think personal experience and success stories go much further for any recommendations. Thanks in advance xxx

Hi jinxy, we’re looking at the same thing. It would be great to get some recommendations from people who’ve used certain clinics! With travel affected by covid I’ve noticed flights to Prague being far easier to find than say to Brno so I’m leaning towards clinics that look like I can actually get there in 2021. I’ve only just started my research but I know as I look around I will be trying to figure out if the clinic/embryologists have the skill required to work with our specific issues (sperm dna fragmentation).

I know you’re planning for worst case outcome of this cycle but you’re not out of this innings just yet, try to stay hopeful 🤞🤞 xx

Thanks :-) I’m trying to stay positive.. tomorrow is day 5 so I’ll know what blasts I have out of the small number that fertilised. I always knew I was up against it fir my age but I have everything crossed xx

We used donor eggs in Brno. We also have sperm issues and they used ICSI for fertilisation and MACS for fragmentation.

Ooohh congratulations on your pregnancy! Can you pls PM details of your clinic and your experience with them? I have been wondering if MACS was useful (if anyone was using it).

Well I know you are still within their age limit. Haven't used any as my age was above 49 when I enquired. I hear sone of them are really good. Do research online start with Google and it will list most of them. Look at things like whether they have airport in the city, if there are available donors that match your profile.

As it is donor egg, I won't be mentioning other things like clinical support if anything goes wrong during collection. Assess their reviews . See how long it takes them to answer your questions.

If you haven't done counseling ask if they offer that service. A lot of the clinics abroad offer egg donor but don't enquire if the couple or recipient have had counseling or any firm of emotional support for donor egg treatment.

41 is not that old and wonder if you have considered taking supplements to help your eggs? Things like glutathione, TMG, NmN ( new still in research but in use by many), dhea, black sesne oil, beets... I know you must have tried most of these just mentioning as it may be worth supplementing and eating egg friendly food for about 12 weeks and attempting one more time before progressing to donor or tandem IVF. Just my thoughts as nothing wrong with using donor egg if they can find matching donor for you.

Thanks for the info.. two full rounds and always on pregnacare the first diet was all healthy quinoa and Mediterranean type diet... the second I did a low carb diet .. both times have resulted in an identical number of eggs and embryos all the way along 🤦‍♀️ I was told that although it’s a good idea to eat healthy.. at my age it makes less of a difference because of my egg age. Sadly having paid private fir two full rounds ourselves if we did a third with my eggs and it didn’t work we’d be out... so I have to look at all of the best chances of success on this last round hence the donor eggs. I’d have loved to have had a little one with my own eggs but my age is fighting back 😖😖
