Negative test day 11 after 5 days fresh transfer and no period yet.Do I stop my medications or conitnue till period comes

Hi Ladies

I had a 5 day fresh embryo transfer and took my pregnancy test on Day 10 which came out negative ,and I also had brownish discharge on that day.I also did bloods and was also negative . I don’t feel any sign my period comming . I tried another test today day11 and still negative, I don’t know if to still hold on and take my medication till my period comes or throw in the towel now 😥😥😥

Hey Lola, My OTD is Saturday but I think I’ve started my period last night. My clinic are insisting I keep taking the pessaries until then.

When is your OTD? I’d say to keep going until then and then seek advice from your clinic if it’s still negative and you’ve not come on.

Hi Lola,

I’d keep taking medication until your original test date. Then my advice from clinic was to test again 48-72 hours after and then if still negative stop with medication. But I’d def speak to the clinic to see what they say.

I’ve read a few stories of people who only got very light bfp on day 11. So you’re not out yet.

I'm really sorry I know how hard BFN are 😞 if you had bloods done at 10 days or later and it was negative then I'm really sorry but sounds like it hasnt worked this time. But do follow your clinics advice. Sending love and hugs ❤

Thanks so much Niki_B , I guess I will need to let this one go , will stop the meds then, do you how long after stopping I will see my periods ?- 🤗

Like I said...go with what your clinic says. Do not stop meds unless they say to. My period would usually start about 3 days after stopping meds. But yes please go with your clinics advice not what anyone says on here. Xxx

Hi Lola,

I started my period 7 days after my 5 day transfer. My clinic still told me to carry on taking meds until test day and do a test.

I think our bodies are all so different that there’s always a chance some people could test positive even when they think it’s game over.
