I had bleeding on Thursday bright blood that came spontaneously then it stopped by that night and changed into brown dry blood with little bits that stopped basically Saturday I had no pain during this , had a scan Friday afternoon and there was sac and yolk there , today (Sunday) I done a dreaded test and it’s still really strong like I was getting before but I know you can get positive tests after a miscarriage but would they still be really strong if I had, just don’t want to get my hopes up thinking I still am when it could be just left over hormones

Hi Lauren, I am so sorry you're going through this. I cannot really comment on your specific situation and I would definitely go back and ask for another early scan to see what's happening and put your mind at rest.

Hope all goes well xx

Bless you. I feel for you! I am currently awaiting my HCG bloods that were taken Friday and constantly refreshing my NHS app to see if they've been inputted yet. It's an awful ride. I hope your scan is okay. It's more than possible to go through what you have and come out with a good result - the promising thing is that there was still a sac post bleeding. All the best x

I'm so sorry you're going through this Lauren. I had a missed miscarriage in Dec 19/ Jan 20 and my pregnancy tests were really strong and took a while to get back to a negative. My HCG was also rising still, but not doubling.

However, I've also heard of lots of ladies bleeding and it all being ok so really hope that's the case for you too!!

Are you having HCG tested or any more scans booked?

Here if you want to talk xx

Sorry for your loss, Got another scan booked for 2 weeks, I wasn’t told I was miscarrying I was just told it could be or it might not cause it’s too early to see a heartbeat

Thank you. Have everything crossed for you that the next scan brings fab news and that the bleeding is nothing bad and its too early to see anything on scan. keep us posted xx

Yeah if you’re hcg is still above 25 it’ll show on a test even after mc. I wouldn’t rule your pregnancy out just yet from what your scan shows you’ve still got a chance just needs time to show growth hopefully the bleeding is just random and all is fine x fingers crossed 🤞🏼

Hey lauren, your hCG if you had miscarried does take a little while to go down....from your scan I really dont think that's the case. As I said my scan had nothing on it. I had extreme cramping which I can only describe as contractions and I knew from what I'd passed that we had lost the pregnancy. I hope that's not tmi, I just wanted to give you some reassurance that your experience sounds very different to mine.xx

Keeping everything crossed for you that it's just standard bleeding which a lot of women get. In answer to your question, with both my miscarriages I had a positive home pregnancy test 2 weeks after surgical procedures. I'm keeping everything crossed that this is not the case for you and you continue to get a positive scan xx
