*sensitive* can’t tell if I’m having a miscarriage or not

Got a scan I am 5 weeks 3 days ivf baby but had bright red blood yesterday that calmed down and is brown blood with little bits, obviously it’s too early for a heartbeat and have to go back in two weeks, it’s really bitter sweet I don’t know how to feel

Oh dear, it's going to be an anxious couple of weeks. Sending you big hugs and positive energy to get through it and sending up a little prayer that your little one hangs on in there. There are loads of stories on here of women who've had quite bad bleeding but it wasn't a miscarriage so there's definitely still hope, although I appreciate it may be hard to let yourself feel hopeful right now xxx

Hi Lauren sending you lots of positive thoughts 🤗 I know exactly how you feel. Did they find any cause for the bleeding at your scan? Did they check your cervix etc too? I had this and had a worrying first 9 weeks but all seems to have settled now so hopefully it will for you too xx

She couldn’t find a reason for the bleeding and she never said anything about my cervix so am not sure basically said everything looks the way I should at this point but need to wait and see

Try to rest as much as possible and avoid anything that will cause you stress. Watch as many interesting movies or do something that will excite you as you wait. I strongly believe everything will work out fine. Most importantly talk to God to allow this miracle to happen. Read the book of psalms in the Bible. It will end in praise. Hugs

Hello pet..that's horrible that you have to wait 2 weeks..I had the same thing happen to me..but the hospital epu did bloods and scan every couple of days they were great..first scans everything was ok but it showed I had a large clot that kept growing beside the baby...unfortunately my hcg levels started to drop ..this is when they realised I had a miscarriage as my last scan the feotal pole dissolved so we had to do a d&c so that we could do genetic testing on the baby for possible issues or reasons....I would ask for hcg bloods as if they stay up and keep increasing by 60-80% everything should be ok..I got my first bloods done with my gp...it will put your mind to rest as it's a horrible time waiting in limbo xxx please god all goes well for you xxx🥰🥰💕🙏🙏🙏 thinking on you xxxxx

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve been bleeding. I started bleeding at 5 weeks, every shade of blood. It ranged from light to golf ball sized clots. I went to A and E twice and was told I had miscarried. The bleeding continued through to around 12 weeks. I’m now 17 weeks and it’s still there. I’m still absolutely paranoid after all that but I hope that it gives you some hope. My clinic said they see bleeding in around 60-70% of their patients. They also put me on strict bed rest for several weeks, laying on my left side. I hope the next two weeks go quickly for you and that everything is alright. X

Hey Lauren, I'm sorry you have an anxious wait ahead of you but hopefully all will be well. My uterus was empty on scan after my bleed so hoping this is a good sign for you honey!!🤞🏻🤞🏻xx

Hi Lauren,

I am so sorry you are going through this. I am in a similar situation. I am 4 weeeks and 6 days. My spotting started light over a week ago then got heavy on Wednesday and really heavy Yesterday. My hcg levels had doubled from Wednesday to Friday so i have to have more bloods next Tuesday and if they have risen they will do a scan. This is the hardest thing i have ever went through. We should be so excited to have our positive tests but because of the bleeding we cant. So i know exactly how you feel. Did your clinic check your hcg levels?
