Covid and IVF, should I start 2nd cycle?

Hi ladies,

I've just had my meds delivered ready to start my second cycle next week. This is the first time on long protocol and paying over £2k!

I'm now having doubts over whether I should start or wait until after Christmas. I live in a tier 1 area but cases of covid are increasing. I'm a secondary school teacher and have a son in year 1. It feels like it will only be a matter of time before I have to self isolate and if that happens then we'd have to cancel the cycle and lose all of the money. I'd be better off taking 6 weeks off unpaid!

Anyone else having doubts about whether or not to start due to covid?

Hi Danuelle. So many of you facing such dilemmas just now. I wonder whether you could go for a free all cycle?? You could then go back for FET when things are hopefully a little calmer. You may be OK, but I feel you need to speak with your clinic for some honest answers, and see what they advise. Hope all goes well whatever you decide. Diane
