Egg Collection Friday😬

Hi Ladies,

So this is my second round of IVF. Last time I got two embryos out of nine eggs both BFN.This time round I am on a higher dose of meriofert and have responded well to the medication and only needed two scans. Last time on a lower dose (which was increased after five days) I didn’t respond well to the medication and the nurse said my IVF may need to be cancelled due to my follicles not increasing in size. I was on stims for 17 days last time before egg collection. What a difference an increase in medication can make!! I’ve got 12 follicles so hoping and praying for at least one good egg😬. Good luck Natty80,,,, just out of interest on the last round did you have one or two embryos transferred as I’m still undecided 🤷‍♀️ what to do x

Hi Blue, I had two separate transfers last time. I’ve been told that I can do a double transfer next time because I’m 40. That’s if I’m lucky enough to get two xx

I hope you do fingers crossed 🤞🏻 you do get two, I’m 42 first go and got 2 embryos so thinking should I use them both or one at a time,,,, but my chances increase by 8% having 2 in which is massive as my odds are low but not sure what to do 🤷‍♀️ I’ll think on it but thanks for letting me know and sending lots of luck your way xx

Hi Blue. I’m 40 and had two single transfers and then on my 3rd I transferred 2 and one stuck. Best decision I made ☺️ I saw a gynecologist separate to my clinic and she was always all for transferring 2.

Goodluck! Im a bit behind you similar protocol i think re raising my meriofert dose from 150 to 225. Scan at day5/6 so hopefully something is growing. 20 days! Good lord poor u! Do you feel more discomfort on the higher dose? Today after 5th shot i started feeling my ovaries. Wasnt this early on the 150. ☘️

Hi..I don’t feel any different with the higher dose. I was worried before my first scan because I had no discomfort..the nurse said not all ladies feel anything. Even up until today I’ve fine. Yep..20 days😂I’m just happy my clinic have changed things around this time..I’ve only had injections for 10 days instead of 20. Aww well good luck too you too and I’ll look out for your updates😃xx

Good luck Natty! It’s my first time having ivf and I’ve just had my second scan today to be told my follicles aren’t growing very fast either so they have had to up my dose and extend the stimulation stage. I hope everything goes well for you this time. Xxx
