I had my first FET this week, with a grade 4BB (unusually, a 7 day blast - it was the only one I had). When I arrived at the clinic, I was told that the embryo had 60% survived the defrost. They said they are usually happy to go ahead with a transfer, provided the survival was 50% plus, but it did reduce chances somewhat ( they couldn't say by how much).
I had always thought that the embryo either survives the defrost or it doesn't - i hadn't realised there was a range!
Not feeling particularly hopeful, which is making the 2WW even more difficult.
Anyone been in a similar situation, and had success?

I haven’t done any transfer yet but I think it’s because some cells will die. Luckily your embryo has enough cells. I was told by an embryologist that as long as 1 cell is alive, it can work. With 60%, you have more than 1 for sure.
Hi Haf. Your little one is safely inside you where he/she belongs, so hold onto that thought. Keep up with any prescribed medication and refrain from testing until the date set by your clinic. Rest when you can, but equally try and remain busy. Thinking of you. Diane
Exactly the same. Went for my FET today and only when they gowned me up in the transfer room they told me it hadnt thawed well around 50_60%.. It was my last embie. She said if I had other frozen ones she would have thawed them too as chances are pretty bleak {she told me 10%) sorry if it's not the news you wanted to hear too.. I was devasted.
But 10 % is better than nothing. I'll be living off Pineapple and. Pommegrannet until then.
