Difficult question...

So I went for my scan today after simulation injections to see how things were going. I have a low amh level but first cycle we got 5 eggs and the second 3 eggs. Today they only measured 1 follicle big enough. The hardest question was asked... So I proceed or give up now and get some of the money back. I couldn't get hold of my hubby as he was working. I think though that I would forever think, could this be the one that would work... So we are going ahead... Even though I was told they may not collect the egg or I may have ovulated before the procedure or that it may not fertilize. I just got to the car and broke down. This ride is not an easy one!

It’s a tough decision, good luck. On my first round I only had one follicle, i was so relieved that they retrieved an egg from it. Sadly it didn’t fertilise with IVF. Fingers crossed there is an egg in there. It could be the one! Make sure you use ICSI though! Good luck xx

Oo they've not mentioned that. It's probably too late to mention and I think it's quite a lot more expensive? You've made me think now x

It definitely shouldn’t be too late! You should be able to request this right up to fertilisation. Is your partner providing a fresh sample on egg collection day? It will be more expensive. It is worth discussing it with your clinic though. It’s normally used for poor sperm quality but also an option if you’ve had low fertilisation rate before.
