Anyone had a higher dosage of meriofert but your folicles was worse off than when you was on a lower dosage ??

Ok so I've had 1 lot of ivf was on 300 of meriofert, I had 2 eggs that fertilised, but sadly it failed ,so now I'm on round 2 and my folicles have gone lower than last time at just 8 and 7 mm even though my meriofert was upped to 450 I don't understand I'm on a higher dosage and have less folicles ,before I was on a lower dosage and my folicles got to 16 ??? Any thoughts would be grateful

I was on the highest dose of Meriofert for my 1st cycle and had a BFN. Second cycle she started me off with a high dose of Meriofert for 4 days and on my next scan all the follicles (were tiny though ) they had all disappeared.

She said the cycle before and all the heavy doses of medication may have caused them to disappear.

I agreed to another cycle back to back because of my age (43) but I think the medications they give you also has an effect on your follicles. It's a tough one but obviously you take what chance you get albeit a small one. Xx

Every cycle is different and sometimes higher doses isn’t always the right option for everyone, although it is definitely worth a try! Try not to get too hung up on numbers, you just need one! Fingers crossed the lucky egg is in this batch! Big hugs Xx

Aww thanks my folicles on Wednesday was only 7 and 8 mm I've a scan tommorow I'm not expecting anything ,in fact I think they will cancel the treatment, and I can't afford to have another shot at this,so I don't really know what happensif they cancel it weather that's just it is that the end ,thanks for your reply x

Just take one day at a time. If it’s cancelled then your consultant will talk you through your options. I had 3 cycles with my own eggs cancelled! We moved to donor eggs & im currently 14 weeks pregnant. The very best of luck Xx
