hey, went in for my baseline scan today, nurse said looks good i have 14 follicles. Waiting for phone call to let me know what dose of Gonal F to start on. This is our first round, any tips on how to get over injecting for the 1st time 🙈??

Sounds super 🤩🙌 tips:

Let the alcohol wipe dry on skin before you stick needle .

Do a swift action in and don’t wobble .

Listen to the clicks as it goes in and count in down .

I gently scratch my tummy skin to find a site that isn’t as sensitive . (You’ll know what I mean when you do it 🤣)

Reward yourself with something after.

I always lie down with my blanket and chill for a bit after

😘💐👌🏻 you will be grand! Just count it down! Only a certain number of days to inject so it’s a short journey. Stay calm, happy, drink loads of water and sleep extra when you need to.

Its weird as im a nurse so used to injecting other people 😁 but the thought of doing it to myself 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

I started yesterday, 12 follicles on baseline scan so very similar to you! But I'm on Meriofert not Gonal F. This is my second cycle - the injecting really does get SO much easier as you go. Wishing you loads of luck xx

So got my starting dose, 300iu gonal F. Ice pack worked a treat! Didnt feel it prick me at all, just once i pressed the plunger but hardly anything 😅 definitely feel better about it now 😌

See 😂👌🏻 I figured this out on my third round of injections after wondering why some hurt more than others 🤩👍🏻

Just go steady with the plunger , if you go fast it’s a bit more uncomfortable .

I found gonal f much easier than menopur .

I'm starting today as well, Gonal-F + Menopur on a short cycle. This is my 2nd cycle, but on my 1st cycle I had to have my OH start doing all my injections while I look away, I'm such a wuss! Sure makes it easier though! 🤣 Wishing you loads of luck for your cycle hun xxx
