I had my frozen transfer last week and they told me when I got there it was in a collapsed state but said it was fine. I know I shouldn't but googled it and was all negative that they don't implant so not feeling to hopeful this is my second round so already was feeling a bit anxious about it just wondered if anyone has had a positive with a collapsed embryo or if to except its just not ment to be again.

Hello SandR123
I'm sorry I don't know anything about collapsed embryos, but I'm sure they wouldn't have transferred something that didn't have at least a chance. And all you need is that chance that actually it might just imbed.
There's nothing you can do now, just try to stay positive and encourage your embaby to snuggle in. You're still in the game so you just never know.
Take care of yourself and try not worry too much. Nature will do her thing xxx

Hi SandR. Sorry to hear this. All you can do is to rest when you can, and test on the day recommended by the clinic. Keeping everything crossed for you. Diane
I know this is a while ago so you'll have your answer by now but I thought I'd reasons for any future readers as I was searching for answers myself not too long ago and there was limited info and mostly negative outcomes.
My frozen blastocyst thawed nicely in transfer day and usually they are hatching just before transfer but this time the embriologist mentioned that it had collapsed just as we were about to transfer it. Of course I was filled with horror because it sounded awful but she and my Dr tried to reassure me that it wss normal and just the embryos way of "breathing". Transfer went ahead. I felt absolutely nothing in the days afterwards and I usually felt implantation cramping the day of or after transfer so I was convinced it had failed. I was wrong! 4dp5dt I got my bfp. I'm currently 11+3 and have the big scan on Tuesday so hoping all goes well. I went for a private scan last week and all is going well. So there is hope for those with collapsed embryos 💗
Hi. Aww thank you so much for your reply and congratulations on your pregnancy ❤. Unfortunately mine was a bfn at the time and I have currently been on a break from ivf all got a bit much with 2 fails and covid not helping. But this return has reassured me that they did the right things as when we had are consult after they said it was normal and wouldn't of caused it not to work. But this is great to know in the future. So thank you very much for spending your time to reply to me xx
I'm sorry you didn't have good news that round. It's never easy. Taking a break to recoup is a good idea. Don't wait too long to get back into it. It will happen unfortunately it's often trial and error to get the right protocol. Do an ERA before you do any more frozen transfers maybe and check you definitely don't have any blood clotting issues. I had a rare one that wasn't part of the routine group checked for. My profile has more info. Best of luck xx
