We been waiting to have family for the last 5 years.. and we were very happy finally we have gone through a lot and reached to have ET ππBut that happiness didn't last long ... π£π£π£πππit was a BFN with the first fresh cycle happened in August and we have 10 frozen embryos.. I m waiting for my next cycle with frozen embryo transfer (FET) π. My consultant insist that I can't have two embryos in my next cycle (frozen cycle) as this may increase the 30% chances in affecting twins and also may cause miscarriage.. π€π€ I would like to know if anyone had 2 embryos in their 1st frozen embryo transfer?? What are the effects for babies if at all I go for 2 embryos FET?? What you suggest?ππ How to convince my consultant?? π€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈ
Also my consultant insist that I have to wait for my FET until I finish my two period cycles (I.e, SEP & Oct) before FET π€¦π»ββοΈπ€¦π»ββοΈ.. Is it necessary to wait till October?? Or can I go ahead with September?? I am going through with lots of depression and stress thinking my consultant is so insisting!! π£π£π£πππ

My clinic only ever had me wait one normal period so around 6 weeks in between transfers.
Unless you are over 37 or more like Age 40 UK clinics are impossible to get to agree to doing a double transfer for the first FET. I had a double one my 4th transfer and am pregnant with twins.
Iβm only 16 weeks but in the last week or so am starting to find it very hard physically so it isnβt for the faint hearted and yes risk of miscarriage is high but tends to be later miscarriage rather than early
My clinic only agreed because
- 4th transfer
- previously poor egg quality and PGS testing came back with abnormalities/mosaics so chance of both implanting was supposed to be low π€£
- we had already spent Β£35k on 5 rounds with the clinic and were simply out of money and out of mental commitment - we had 4 blastocysts left and clinic agreed to do 2 double transfers if we needed to rather than 4 individual ones. I was ready to move on and stop IVF after these final embryos
