Has anyone been having to follow a certain diet during the IVF process? I’m craving all sorts of things. How to help curb the cravings.

Diet craziness!?
During my 2 week wait I’ve been eating a lot of nuts and fresh cut up fruit. Dates, Brazil nuts and pineapple are apparently good for implantation I’ve read
Oh yes I’ve heard that as well!! Have you been told to do a Mediterranean diet? My IVF doctor said to follow that and I’m going nuts lol. I dont Eat that bad in the first place but i just Want to eat regular food.
Or is the diet only for when it’s 2 week wait??
No I wasn’t told to do that diet honestly the only thing I would steer clear from (from my own research) is refined carbs!
I have try to follow a Mediterranean diet. I feel I have done ok. Not like good good but not bad either. I avoid coffee, alcohol, coke, bad sugars, and fried food. I am drinking lots of water I am trying to snack healthy stuff like carrot chips (homemade) or sweet potatoes chips (homemade too). Every now and then I eat a few pizza slides hahaha which is my guilty pleasure. I think everything is good in moderation.
Hi...good diet before, during n after pregnancy is the key...go for anti-inflammatory diet.the only way to manage all that cravings is to make sure your stomach is always full....have good diet NO junk like potatoes, chicken, white things,sugars....u already opted for ivf that means u hv infertility issues...cant you manage ur cravings until baby arrives? Remember baby is our first priority...gud luck
Mediterranean diet is recommended by my clinic too but I have IBS so that was a no go for me as I'm intolerant to so many foods. It made me worry that I wasn't giving myself the best chance but if I'd have followed a Mediterranean diet I'd have made myself ill which I doubt would have helped my chances. I had to think of it being about a balance of healthy eating and keeping my stress levels down. This process is stressful enough as it is without denying yourself things you're craving, just be reasonable, a couple of squares of chocolate aren't going to hurt but maybe keep away from the takeaway and glass of wine. You don't say what it is you're craving so maybe you could try making a healthier version of whatever it is. X
Hi, I've been eating a Paleo diet (basically just lots of fruit & veg but more veg and nuts)have cut out gluten (I do have a wheat allergy so try to avoid it anyway), dairy, caffeine, processed foods, sugar and nightshade vegetables. If I crave chocolate I have a couple of squares of dark chocolate. I gave my diet an over haul after my Chicago blood test confirmed that I had high levels of toxic cytokines, it has been tough but I feel so much better for it and have decided to continue to follow it just for my overall health. I did consult a nutritionist first who went through all of my history before making any drastic changes xx
Thank you guys for the response! I’m trying to eat healthy stuff. Limiting caffeine to just my breakfast shake so it’s within reason. And eating lots of chicken and salads. Keeping my head down and trying to get through it all good luck to all you ladies.
Hiya, I haven’t been told to follow any specific diet just started to be more conscious of what I’ve been eating since a few months before treatment started. I too just found that I want to eat everything I really shouldn’t a few days into starting on stims. But as they say everything in moderation! Good luck! 🧡
