Hiya,
I am in a prep month before my next cycle so not there yet but just wanted to wish you the best of luck.
Hi. I have my next scan on Monday (day 9)and can hopefully have my egg collection on Wednesday. Fingers crossed for both of us! xx
Ooh very similar to me! Good luck to you. This is my first cycle. What about you? Xx
Hey. My scan is Wednesday with EC on Friday 🤞🏻
I think mine will be Wednesday, my second collection. I am so looking forward to that 20 minute sedated power nap, it’s awesome! 🤣
Oh that’s good to know and something to look forward to 😂 Keep me updated with your progress, good luck!
Best of luck to you too! I was a little apprehensive about the sedation first time around. When I woke up I announced it was the best nap I had ever had, and have been looking forward to round two ever since 😂 Getting my moneys worth of good naps with one more collection after this next one.
I’m having mine next Monday so very close! Is this your first one?
Oh exciting! Yes this is my first one, how about you? Xx
No. 4 for me! I always look forward to the dreaming nap and cup of tea and biscuits when you wake up 😂 this time round my husband isnt allowed in the recovery room due to covid restrictions but that’s probably for the best as he always laughs at me chatting absolute shit as I wake up from the anaesthetic lol. Are you feeling ok about it?
4th time lucky then hopefully for you 🤞🤞🤞 Yes feeling fine about egg collection, more concerned about transfer .. I read a post saying it was painful and that’s worried me a bit! How did you find it?
We’re embryo banking at the moment so this is just no 1 egg collection out of 3 so we can get a good haul of embryos to be sent off for genetic testing - got a way to go yet before we get another shot at transfer! But yes really hoping for a good number of eggs to kick it all off with 🤞🏻
My experience of transfers has been generally fine. I don’t find it painful at all, it’s more just like having a smear test but just last about half an hour so it’s more uncomfortable than painful. It doesn’t hurt when they insert the catheter through the cervix, you can feel it so it’s a weird sensation. Twice they’ve had to use a slightly firmer catheter for me because it was tricky to get through my cervix so that’s a bit annoying cos they’re fiddling around for ages down there 🙄 the hardest part is having to have a full bladder and you spend the whole time thinking you’re going to pee on the doctor as they really push down with the ultrasound when trying to get the embryo in the right spot! And then as soon as it’s over you run to the loo and then are paranoid you’re going to pee out the embryo 😂😂 it’s impossibly but i think it every time !!
I hope you get plenty of eggs then to start your stash! I’ve just been reading your page, sounds like you’ve been through a tough time so far..wishing you lots of luck for Monday!
That’s good to know about transfers, I read a post where someone said their partner was weeping the whole way through .. and after the HSG which was hell, I felt concerned! So hopefully I don’t find it too bad either 🤞
Oh god yeh I had a saline scan thing which I think is similar to the HSG where they pump saline into your uterus to expand it to get a good view on the ultrasound - was horrendous and so not expecting how painful that was! I totally freaked out after that and thought i’d never be able to have any more procedures. Transfer compared to that is a breeze!!!
Hello! I am on my first round of IVF, I have my second tracking scan on Monday and the nurse thinks I may be ready for egg collection on Wednesday, but will know for sure after Mondays scan.
Good luck with your collection!
Good luck today! 🍀
