Possible delayed transfer

New to this. We had egg collection today and got 15 eggs. 😁 Only doctor said I'd got some fluid built up so may have to delay transfer, need to scan me Thursday to see if its gone. Anyone else had this before?🙄🤔

Oh that’s so disappointing! I was at risk of this, but luckily managed to avoid it. Lots of ladies on here have had to do that. Usually when they’ve had a lot of eggs collected. Some only need to wait one cycle for their FET and some need a few more to recover. Hopefully some people will let you know how that got on with it...

Good luck with tomorrow’s phone call. 15 is great so that’s a big positive! Best to get yourself in the best position to welcome that little embie when the time’s right x

Hello..this happened to us in July, the fluid stopped the transfer as they said it would be a toxic environment so we did a freeze all. They told me I would bleed a couple of weeks after the egg collection and the following proper period will be used to start meds for the FET. I'm waiting for it any day now. I've been told it may be about 2/3 weeks from starting the meds to transfer.

Well done for making it to egg collection. 15 eggs is great. I had egg collection last month with 21 eggs so had to do freeze all because of the risk of OHSS. I've been told I need to wait to start meds for FET until my 3rd bleed so bit of a long wait again. Hopefully it settles down quickly and you can still do a fresh transfer, I was told straight after the procedure that it was going to be freeze all for me so there's still hope you'll get to transfer yet.

They rang me today to say 9 out of the 15 have fertilised and they didnt seem too worried about the fluid. They seem to think it will go with the progesterone I am on. I guess I will see on Thursday. Hopefully I will be having the transfer on Saturday. 🤞🤞

So the fluid as gone and I'm having transfer done on Saturday. 😀 We have 4 high graded embryos and 5 that are developing a bit slower. They will update me Saturday morning before transfer.x

So out of 9 fertilising only 2 made it to day 5 blastocysts. Both are being transferred this morning. I'm so disappointed that there is none to freeze. 😢
