To start or postpone

Hi all,

Hope you all are well. So now we have finally heard from clinic with regards to starting the second cycle. They have given us the option of postponing for 6months or start now whilst we are still I the midst of COVID. The cycle could stop in the middle if we have second wave. What do people think to go ahead or postpone? This will be out last cycle 🤔

Any thoughts?

I would say go for it. You never know where we might be in 6 months time in this crazy world at the moment, can only go with what's happening now, and as the clinics are opening and giving you the go ahead I would take it with open arms!! Good luck with whatever you decide xx

I would go for it! This covid thing could go on for two years. Time is not kind to the eggs! If they cancel before egg collection will they pay for drugs for it the next try? That’s what happened us. We were access fertility , because we stopped before egg collection we got the round again and the clinic paid for the medication! Thank goodness because we’d used most of ours! Defo ask this before you decide . If you are young maybe you have time to wait, I’m 39 in a few weeks so for me time is running away. 6 month delay would be awful, 4 months just now has been bad enough . All the best with this tricky decision 😘

Thanks! It's a NHS cycle and they have stipulated that if the cycle gets cancelled it won't disadvantage us in anyway. They would offer it again! Exactly was I was thinking I'm 38 now and delaying it isn't a good idea. Thank you ♥️
