Struggling to keep calm

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is well.

I have my first meeting at my IVF clinic on Monday for a blood test and a scan. Does anyone know what else happens at your first appointment?

I can’t help but get myself all worked up and nervous. I’m worried I will make a fool of myself when having the blood test as I’m often sick or I faint ☹️ I know it sounds silly but I over think everything☹️ Does anyone have any tips of how to stay calm?

Download the ivf mindfulness app, go fir walks in the fresh air and breathe deep, have a bath whilst you can .

You’ll just have your internal scan, bloods , and chat about how long your cycles last and personal stuff to you.

My clinic talked dates that suited and drug plan etc too. Not sure yours will be same but it might be.

I was nervous too but it’s normal. Ivf is a big deal but just keep telling yourself why you are going for the appointment . Needs / must 😘😘💐💐💐

You’re not the first person they’ve scanned or done bloods on so they’ll look after your medical needs and support your emotional needs 😘💐💐💐🤩🤩💖💖💖💖💖

I told the clinic that I'm a fainter so they were warned. Unfortunately some of the staff didn't listen & tried to take blood when I was in the chair. They soon realised I wasn't making it up. I insisted after that that I had to lie down on a proper bed. Stick to your guns, they don't want you puking or fainting.
