Stupid Question

Hello!

I hope everyone is well :).

As the title states, I have a stupid question.

I have received a copy of the NHS approval letter but it says we have received approval for one cycle. I thought we were eligible for 3.

Do we get a letter per cycle? Or, do we just get 1?

I am 34 years old and we need donor egg IVF because my ovaries are traitors.

Not a stupid question! I would have thought the letter would say the total number if cycles you are eligible for. It all depends on your local CCG and their guidelines, have you had a look on their website? Some areas fund 3 cycles, some fund 1 (like mine) and some dont fund any!

As sunshine said, the number of funded rounds is different depending on where you live. Has a doctor said 3 cycles to you before now?

Thank you! I read the CCG and it does say that my area gives us one cycle. That’s fine:).

We shall give it a go and go from there.

I don’t know anything about the NHS letters I didnt receive any but I am crying with laughter at the ovaries are traitors! So are mine!! 😂To be fair I only have one overused ovary so I should be grateful it’s still working hard.

This is such a tough journey every little bit of joy is welcome!
