Hello everyone!

I’m new here, nice to meet you all.

I wanted to ask a query about myself, I’m 19 years old and I would love to become a mother but I only want a child through IUI. Do you think I will be accepted into a private clinic?

I have a baby through IVF and donor sperm. I am member of a few Facebook groups of people who have had artifical insemination solo etc. There is alot of women on their in there late 30s. There is a very small minority in the 20s. The thing is alot of the younger women once they hear about how hard it is going down the fertility route tend to say that it is not for them and may return to the journey when they are abit older. Going down the fertility treatment route takes alot of commitment and you may have to be prepared for some disappointment. I tried to find a private donor through a donor website and this is even harder. Some of men have interior motives for going on these sites. One women I heard of met one who simply wanted to make friends not to be a donor and also was a useless donor as had fertility problems himself. You need to weigh everything up before going on this journey early. The good thing is if you start at this age your fertility should be better than say in 15 years time. I hate to say the cliche but you may meet a lovely partner in the near future and things might change.
