Not really sure what to write here. Have just going the group today hoping for some support from others who understand what it’s like to be in our shoes.
I am from Nothern Ireland, have been diagnosed with PCOS from I was a teenager so always knew we would struggle to start a family - just didn’t think it would be this hard.
My husband and I have been ttc for over 2 years now. Filled with an unsuccessful 6 months of clomid and 5 months of Ovulation induction and lots of waiting and waiting watching everyone else get their BFP and not us!
In March past we just sent our letter for a review appointment at the same time everything stopped with covid. Waiting to here back from the clinic now, and discuss our next steps.
Yours, Trying to be happy! x

Hi there, just wanted to say hello and welcome to the group. I really hope it will help you. It has definitely helped me and everyone here is so kind and helpful.
Sorry to hear about your struggles TTC. It sounds like you have had a lot of patience and tried so much. It’s great that you have got the back rolling for the review appointment and I hope you will hear from your clinic soon. They do seem to be gradually reopening so fingers crossed yours will be too.
Wishing you all the best of luck for the next few months xx
Thank you. I spoke with them this morning, they are doing some appointments via phone but no assurance that we will get one anytime soon.
I really hope all the clinics can get back up and running for us all as soon as possible. 🤞hopefully Northern Ireland can be as quick to re open as in England to xxx
Hi and welcome! Hope you will find some useful information and support here.
Just wanted to share that I'm in a really similar situation as you. Always had ovulation issues due to PCOS. Now in my late 20s, been TTC for several years. I always knew it would be more difficult due to the ovulation issues, but I married young so didn't think I would have to go down the IVF road. It's a hard journey so just know there are others in a similar situation here. Wishing you the best of luck in getting your appointment soon as possible!! xx
Hey, thanks for your message it’s nice to hear someone with a similar story. I know we are only 2 years in (I know others are struggling for longer) but I remember thinking after 1 year that we would be pregnant before year 2 mark and now that’s past and I can’t believe our next option now is IVF.
Hope you don’t mind me asking are you waiting on your ivf resuming after the clinics re open? Xxx
Yep, so I had a fresh IVF cycle back just before lockdown (ended in a chemical pregnancy). I have 2 frozen embryos from that cycle so I've just been waiting for my FET, but my clinic have already been in touch and I will be starting injections in a few days hopefully. Aiming for a transfer in early June all being well🤞 xx
