Advice Needed?! 😔 Medication Management for miscarriage?!

Devastated to say after such a positive start to our first round of ICSI and with no signs of any problems - our 12 week scan resulted in a missed miscarriage at 9+5 weeks! 😢 Can anyone offer advice on when the tablets started to take effect for a medically managed miscarriage? I took them yesterday and have had no signs of anything happening! I’m really struggling with the anxiety of what’s to come as feel something should have begun by now! I just want to be able to let go and try to move on 😔 Thanks in advance for any advice and just pray one day I will be able to have that feeling back! Xxx

Hi I’m so so sorry to hear this 💔 thinking of you and sending lots of love. ❤️ I took 2 tablets and started to get cramps quite fast then after another 2 I started bleeding the same night but I think it’s different for everyone but should start within 72 hours call your epu if your unsure. I hope and pray we get our rainbow 🌈 baby’s one day. Hugs 🤗 xxx

Really sorry for your loss ❤️.

When I had medical management I was given mifepristone which made me start spotting then 48 hours later misopristol.

About 3-4 hours after taking the misopristol I started cramping and miscarrying.

It wasn’t during coronavirus so I was in the hospital and stayed there for another 8 hours. I had retained product unfortunately but just wanted to go home, about 5 days later had really strong cramping and everything passed.

I hope that everything starts soon for you, I would suspect it should in the next day or so. Sending hugs x

Thank you for replying! I took 4 Misoprostol and most things I read so things should happen quite soon but still nothing since 12 o’clock on Friday 😔 Really sorry to hear you and many others have had to go through this too! It’s hit me really hard as I just didn’t realise MMC was a thing until 2 days ago and just feeling completely lost 💞 xxx

Thank you for replying! ❤️ I still haven’t had anything happen which is torturing me 😔 I called the hospital this morning as they said can take longer for some people but everyone I hear from say it comes on quickly so I don’t know what is going on... Just praying things happen soon as I really don’t want to have to go back to hospital m. Thank you again for your kind message 💞 xx

Hi, I’m really sorry your going this! Have things continued?? After my second course of tablets, things started very quick but I ended up in hospital with emergency removal as things didn’t go well and things were “stuck”. Of course I’m praying this doesn’t happen for you and things take their course. If you need any support please do message me as it’s a very hard road ahead and would want to be there for a home going through this xxx
