Hi everyone, I kinda was expecting it with what’s going on in the World just now.... but still so upsetting to learn today my new treatment cycle due to start in a couple of weeks has been cancelled. We decided after 2 failed attempts last year to have a decent break. For various reasons we decided to go with my April cycle.
Regretting that now as who knows when we will get to try again but appreciate more serious things going on.
Just wanted to say to all those who have had their cycles cancelled or even worse they were in middle of treatment and had it cancelled am thinking of you all 😘
Difficult times but main thing is we all stay safe x

Hi Hope. So sorry to hear this, as they are redeploying nurses to other wards, and also need to conserve oxygen supplies to - used in INF process. Had a man in tears on the phone just now, bless him, it's just an awful time for you all. Stay safe. Diane
I know it is another added stress to the whole process . But I get that Covid 19 is very serious 😕
I haven’t heard from my clinic but their website states they will not be starting any new treatments. The reasons my Clinic are giving are ‘they do not know the effect of Covid 19 on pregnant women & babies’. I feel so sorry for those who are having their transfers cancelled. I have been in tears all morning and mine hadn’t even started x
Hi. Plus the reasons I said before. Indeed, the virus has not been around long enough for us to know if there could be any effect. Keep your distance from others and remember that washing hands with soap and water has a better effect, as viruses cannot cling to lipids (fat in soap). Hand sanitisers are OK but they are for preventing bacteria spread not viruses. Diane xx
I'm so sorry lovely, it really is heartbreaking 💔 hindsight is a wonderful thing..I think what if we were just 1 month earlier..but then we would have other worries of if it was positive and being pregnant and isolating. We never would have thought something like this would prevent us from the chance at starting a family. It so unfair. I wish I knew when this was all going to be over. Weve just got to ride it out together, I'm here xxxx
Thank you for your lovely words especially given your own situation. You are so right as if I had say started January and it worked I would be stressing about the virus. As if IVF isn’t stressful enough. 🙈

Reading your profile it would seem you have always been so good at prepping for your cycles. Cutting out alcohol, caffeine, med diet etc. I totally get you doing all this as I have done for my own cycles. One thing I want to share with you. My very first IVF cycle worked, I was most overweight ever been but still within BMI limits for NHS. I had no clue then about cutting back on caffeine etc. I drank alcohol (socially) up until I started stimms. I never did accupuncture and had little knowledge on the subject. I was blessed that first time my Harry is now 4 years old. I am of course luckier than some including you however am 44 and clock is seriously ticking for his sibling I so desperately want to give him 😢. Since Harry turned 1 we have tried and tried and failed and failed..........I have tried the health kicks, the supplements, the accupuncture, rehki, you name it I’ve tried it. Anyway the point am trying to make in my 6 years of IVF experience I would suggest being as relaxed and stress free and normal as you can is the best way you can prepare. Enjoy that glass of wine, enjoy that meal, enjoy that cup of latte as well I did all that things in the very beginning as didn’t have the knowledge I have now but it worked. This is one hell of a journey and I wish you all the luck in the world moving forward 🤞🏼🙏🏻🍀👍😀 x
Aww thank you, thank you for sharing your experiences. I do totally agree with you, that sometimes cutting out so much that you enjoy in life can actually make you more stressed.
The only thing this time is my husband is having a fresh sperm retrieval on day of egg collection, it's our one shot for this as it's so expensive, and we really want to improve sperm quality, he needs 12 weeks to do this. Hes on lots of supplements and we had just done 3 months alcohol free ready to start yesterday, as that wasnt meant to be, we are going to have a few weeks rest bite before starting again, for his sake more than anything. But I think they odd glass of wine and meals out wont hurt.

Hi Hope76, I am sorry to hear that your cycle has been postponed. I am in the same boat and had an egg collection in Feb and hoping to start my second FET in early April. My private clinic has postponed the treatment until further notice due yo the coronavirus. I know that the situation is getting serious but is still frustrated as I am already 42!
Thanks, Hope76. I always do frozen transfer as advised by my clinic. Like you, I didn't rush into getting the FET done and now I can't even rush it!

Hi Hope, so sorry to hear your cycle cancelled, mine was as well got the news last week and totally get where you are coming from it is devastating when you gear up to do it I also have had a break since last July so had organised everything around doing a cycle this month. Tbh when the hospital called me I wasn’t upset as I though probably as I knew it was coming. Trying to remain positive which is hard with all that is going on in the world but remind myself others are far worse off and how the main priority is getting over this awful virus. Stay safe and keep your chin up xx 😘
