Even up until EC day I underestimated what IVF was really about.
I spend months and months scrolling through your posts when waiting to begin treatment, our first cycle of ICSI, trying to learn the abbreviations and get a heads up of whatβs to come but I was still very much a baby myself when it came to it. π
So I found this and it made me feel right at home x

Perfect image! I thought we'd just go have IVF (lots of needles and they hurt - sure) and we'd get pregnant.... Very low emotional impact and practically a "sure thing". NOPE! I had no idea about the daily stress and worry, and everything that goes along with it. THANK YOU to this community for being there every step of the way!
I love this! And i feel exactly the same. Ive learned so much about my fertility since starting this journey. This community has gotten me through a lot!xx
So very true! It is so easy to go into this journey and think this is 'our fix' or like most outsiders think, that IVF fixes fertility problems, but my god...until you've been through it...one of the toughest journey's imaginable xxx
Gosh that was me too - when I first came on here Iβd already gone through egg collection and transfer and that had been a steep learning curve - I found this as Iβd started bleeding - poor naive me didnβt even realise you could get your period whilst on the progesterone!! I remember googling what bfn and BFP was an AF had me completely baffled!!! π I still feel very naive but thatβs partly as I never wanted to get bogged down with the statistic but I am defiantly more forewarned and forearmed for next time!!! ππ thanks for sharing this makes me feel much less of a numpty as I truly did think IVF was infact injections and hormones and then you got pregnant!!! π€¦ββοΈ
