Delayed second period post egg collection

Hope all you strong women are doing well!

Wonder if anyone has had experience of this.

My trigger was buserlin on a short protocol. Had egg collection Friday 31st. Had a freeze all due to high risk of OHSS.

Had a period then 5th feb which was normal duration and extent (sorry if TMI)

Usually things are quite regular with 28 day cycle but second period nowhere to be seen and it is not day 35. Freaking out

Will ring nurse for some advice but would be grateful for any info if anyone has had similar experience, any reassurance welcomed xx

Hey. This happened to me too. I am usually clockwork at 30 days but it ended up coming on day 37 and then things were back to normal. I wouldn’t worry too much (although I did too at the time!) as it really is just body adapting to all the interference. I remember thinking ‘what if it doesn’t come back for months’ and then suddenly it arrived.

Aw thanks so much for this, you are right in that your mind goes into overdrive and you start focusing on all the negatives. Hopefully normal operations will resume shortly so we can continue our journey

It’s common for the 2nd period to be delayed so try not to worry. My cycle ended up being over 40 days! Was driving me mad but is normal ☺️

Aw thank you, glad to know it does happen and will try to stop myself going insane!

It’s just one big rollercoaster sometimes isn’t it

Willing this one to come so I can have a fresh start and move on now

It really is a one big waiting game I have found! Try not to think about it and it may appear ☺️🤞
