Hi all, i have been refered to gyne&fertility hosp by local GP, done all test and scans, waiting for appointment date which is in 1+ mth. Then only the decision of whether approve for IVF n will it be as NHS funded. We done all blood test, AmH test (low egg reserve), scan done for AFC. Is it worth to wait or to go private? Im 39 this year, every month waiting is crucial for me. Went to Create fertility open day, seems promising to try. Im on dependent visa, hubby on work visa here n its yearly renewal. Does visa status also will be considered?

NHS funded IVF process?
Personally, time is off the essence for me so I would go private if that is an option to you. Especially if your AMH is low. You can always get the ball rolling with a private clinic and wait to see what the NHS come back and say. Sometimes they only fund a cycle or two (if any), and you may need a few cycles to get your levels right. I'm on my 2nd IVF cycle with a private clinic, the first they did not have my levels right. Good luck! xx
If you are resident here, that shouldn't affect your eligibility for NHS treatment. Your low egg reserve may be an issue depending on where you live; where I live, there is a AmH threshold for NHS funded cycles and if you are below it, you won't qualify. There is also a requirement to wait one year from referral to begin treatment where I live. You might want to start researching the eligibility policies in your area and HFEA guidance. It will be published somewhere.
I have DM you. I would say try both options and then compare which works best for you in terms of time and cost xx
