Hi hope everyone is doing as well as they can be as I always say this journey is always so tough.
Just an update I had my egg collection on Monday. My specialist put me on what they call a mild ivf as he said he was looking for quality over quantity so I was only being stimmed very slightly compared to my last ivf cycle. Just to inform you all I found this really good. I had no bloating, the medication didnβt effect me, my endometriosis didnβt become effected and my body responded well. Makes me wonder how my body would respond on high stims but he believed I did not need this....up to now heβs been right.
So Monday I had egg collection no pain after he managed to collect 8 egg which was all mature. I was happy with that. By day 1 after doing ivf with my parter having good semen we managed to fertilise all 8 but 1 was abnormal so we ended up with 7. Again happy with this. By day 3 they had all made it. Very good quality embryos she said. Day 5 we was told 4 was already froze all top quality 1 5AA hatching another 5AA expanding and 2 5ABβs. She informed she was going to leave the other 3 until day 6 which was today. So the call we received she informed us all 3 had made it to blastocyst stage but only 1 was good to freeze which was graded 5AC. So 5 in the freezer out of 8 Iβm happy with that result. I think my specialist did the right thing with the mild ivf...I hope these numbers are good and we get our little miracle. I am not having a fresh ET due to my endometriosis my specialist wants to down regulate me now and get my body prepared so for now I rest. I know the upcoming months are going to feel like forever but I have to trust my specialist after all we have paid a lot to get him.... π€ good luck to everyone β€οΈ xxxx

Thanks purplewitch18. I actually found mild ivf so much better in regards to the way I felt. I felt pretty normal. Even after egg collection I didnβt struggle. Did you find symptoms were minimal? Xxxx
Yes i did, i did get bloated and my first round i had a day where i was really fatigued which i get with my endo. Second round nothing except some bloating. Id never do a conventional cycle, and in my case theres not much point anyway. I wanted to get a good quality egg instead of more lesser quality ones and end up with just a few anyway. I also didnt want my endo to flare up again! Mild cycles all the way π
No I donβt think I would do a conventional cycle again I think it is to much for the body especially us with endo. We have got some good embryos so that has proven that the mild ivf has had some effect up to now. My endo was defo miles better this cycle. How are you feeling in your 2ww.? xxxx
Im feeling pretty crappy today and not sure if its worked, feeling emotional, well hormonal i suppose. Ive been ok most days, had some horrible symptoms from the progrsterone for most of the first week, now i am ok but having odd days i feel ill and today is one of them. Keep expecting to get my period, this had nothing to do with my cycle though which couldnt have gone better xx
Itβs so hard to tell when you have endo. I usually get my period symptoms as soon as Iβve ovulated right up until I come on. Keep positive as some woman with endo still feel like their period is due. How long until you test xxxx
So do i, literally the day after! Its like clockwork! Its mostly the cramps but saying that they are very low and are usually higher, so who knows lol. My official test day is weds as i had a fresh 2 day transfer so i have to wait 14 days after transfer. Its not long now xxx
My period is clockwork as well which is surprising with me endo but Iβve always been bang on 28 days. Yes my main symptoms is cramps and is usually get sore boobs as well. I just know when Iβm not pregnant I can tell by my endo pains itβs very strange.Try and stay positive not long now although I bet it seems like a lifetime away. Is this your first transfer xxxx
Iβm sure il keep you updated nearer the time. Iβm just going to make the most of relaxing now lol π xxxx as hard as it can be. Iβm starting uni in sept following my dreams so hopefully thatβs something that will keep me busy
This is great news!! Sounds like a really good number and chances to me. I also have endo and I think the plan to down regulate you and transfer at a later date is spot on, really great desicion. I know it will feel like a wait, but at least (I hope) you will feel you did every step to give yourself the best chances. π€πΌπ€πΌπ€πΌπ€πΌπ€πΌβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Thank you π β€οΈ Yes I think itβs more common than what you think now. I think it makes sense you give your body a rest and get it to the best possible stage and as free as possible from endo for as many months as you can before embryo is transferred. I was u sure about this at first but now I see this definitely makes sense. Thanks for your kind words. I hope you get a good result π€ xxxx
Oh yes definitely makes sense to give your body a rest, and give yourself plenty of time for the endo to calm down as much as it can. Probably the longer the better, though it's got to be a balance so you feel happy with waiting and Don't become anxious waiting too long.
Sounds like your specialist is great so will work with you for the best plan, really pleased it all makes sense to you now.
Thankyou and best of luck π€πΌπ€πΌπππ
Thank you! We still have more than week to egg collection, hopefully ours would be a successful too, but certainly your great news made me so happy ππ
Thatβs brilliant news! Good luck with the FET when it comes. Iβd book a few weekends away and things to keep my mind occupied to make the time go quicker xxx
