Stims are working!

Went for my second scan today. Day 10 since I started the stims. I have 14 follicles so all progressing well. I do feel hugely bloated (and secretly wonder to myself whether this is what pregnancy feels like 😂🤔)

Egg retrieval likely to be Friday 🤞🏻

I also checked with my clinic on Friday and apparently their protocol is freeze all cycles as they are achieving really good results this way. But of course depends on the embryos.

Can’t wait to get these eggs out now!!!

Sounds great! I am going for collection on Friday too! Is this your first round? Its my 4th!

I only had my first scan today but already have 13 follicles and one of them is HUGE so we may lose it. We did talk about EC weds but have decided to try and push to Friday.

Hi Daisy1245. Yes this is my first IVF. I did 3 IUIs last year so this is the first full IVF round. We’ve also considered Wednesday but they still need to grow a bit more. Best of luck for Friday 🍀

Hi HemBella. Well that's good to hear. I would start to drink extra water, just case you may be overstimulating a little. Hope all goes well with egg collection when done, and you get plenty of eggs fertilised. The ones you get stored frozen, will be quite safe until you are ready to have an embryo transferred. That was me last week! I decided that pregancy must feel better since ovaries are really not made to enlarge so much. Felt so much relief after EC. I was supposed to have a freeze-all cycle too but the ovaries behaved well and I was not in pain, so they decided to give a fresh transfer a go. Trust your consultants with that! Wishing you all the best and many happy eggs!
