Naive question here - after a (failed) round of IVF, have any of you heard of women temporarily becoming more fertile in their next natural menstrual cycle (e.g. do the stim drugs ever give you any sort of boost for your next cycle 🤷♀️🤔)? Or on the contrary, I guess your next natural cycle could be completely shot to **** by the process and you might not ovulate at all?? Any experiences welcome! (I don't really feel I can ask my clinic... might just be me, but I kind of feel once you've had your BFN and you're all paid up, you stop being of interest...😥 xx

Does IVF 'super charge' your fertility?! 😂🤷♀️
My longest pregnancy (9 weeks) involved me falling pregnant naturally straight after a round of IVF. I always had a gut feeling that it wasn’t just a coincidence. Perhaps boosting my ovulation or due to all the progesterone I’d been using. Who knows. But whenever I mentioned it to any professionals it was always dismissed. I’m sorry your recent cycle was not successful and wish you the best of luck when you go again (whether naturally straight after which I’d say definitely worth a go! Or another IVF cycle) xx
Hiya, we had a failed round of IVF in December, in January I fell pregnant naturally. We had been TTC for nearly 3 years so was a massive shock! GP felt that it could be the IVF meds giving my body the kick start it needed. Whatever it was, we are feeling very blessed and incredibly lucky. Never give up xxx
That’s what I am hoping too. I just had my bfn on Sunday (my otd) and am planning to try conceive naturally this month. I am worried that my cycle will be a long one and ovulation might not even occur! Good luck x
A bit different here. We struggled to get pregnant for 3 years and despite tests nothing could be found wrong with either of us. We did 1 round of long protocol ivf on the nhs and were lucky enough for it to work 1st time with our only blasto. We now have a beautiful 10 month old daughter and I recently discovered I'm 8 weeks pregnant naturally! It's all very bizarre as we never even came close to a pregnancy on those 3 years leading up to the ivf so I do believe it can give your fertility a boost.
Heyyy sorry to hear ur cycle didn’t work . We have been ttc for 10 years I got pregnant straight after my failed ivf back in June unfortunately I miscarried at 11.4 weeks.. but I defo think ivf does something in ur body to boost ur fertility.. I wish u all the best hun x
I fell naturally in August 2018, after a failed ivf in the May, and just as I was downregging for FET. I didn’t respond well to ivf and had a low egg reserve so have no idea how I managed to fall pregnant but it happened😀xx
Hi, yes this happened to me! I got pregnant naturally the month after my 4th failed round of ivf despite having very low amh. I feel that the meds must have given me a boost or something but I’ve no idea if there is any science behind that! I’m so glad that despite feeling very depressed at yet another bfn we continued ‘trying’. Best wishes to you xx
