I would throw everything at it. I was abit older the second time I had success. I was 39 so decided to throw everything I can at it.

I’ve had the scratch but sadly didn’t get me a positive on the plus side it was really quick and didn’t hurt too much some people do have success so I’d say if you haven’t tried it it’s probably worth a go xx

Hi

I had the scratch and 100% think it helped my 2nd transfer (failed 1st time). My lining is always thin and I believe having the scratch made it more susceptible to the estrogen (and Viagra - I recommend that too)

That’s really interesting, thanks for sharing. What does the viagra add?! Xx

I had the scratch after two failed rounds and the third was positive after a scratch. Age 41. I totally believe that the scratch worked. I don't know why other people say it didn't hurt because I never felt pain like it! Good luck x

Yowser! That’s great news though! Congratulations 🥰 xx

Thanks. It failed and I had to have a D+C. Nothing is easy eh? Perhaps the embryo was meant to pass and the scratch made it stick. Who knows. But I would do it again, albeit maybe donor egg next time.

Nope! Not in the world of ivf!! Xxx

I had one this week and just started stimulation meds this morning. The evidence is inconclusive but I'd rather spend 160 extra and know I did everything I could to help. I took some paracetamol around an hour before, i found it quite uncomfortable and squeezed OH hand like there was no tomorrow but it settled pretty much straight away.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do x

Yes me too! I have a polyp that needs removing so they’d to the scratch at the same time - hopefully won’t feel a thing as I’ll be under 🙌🏼💖

Good luck with your cycle! Xx

Hey sorry to jump on this post, but I was just wondering what is the scratch? I have just had my first IVF fail this week and I’m so disheartened as Iv had five previous miscarriages on my own before the IVF treatment and now I’m scared it isn’t going to work and I’m willing to try anything to help my chances of a successful pregnancy. Thanks in advance xx

Aww sorry to hear that 😔 the endometrial scratch basically makes the uterus more receptive to implantation. Xx

Failed my first IVF round and had a chemical pregnancy so 2nd round I had the scratch done for - fresh transfer BFP and 1 year later another frozen transfer for sibling another BFP. My Dr advised against having in 2nd time round as the study found 50/50 odds with the study done by AUT in New Zealand but I asked to continue with the procedure and so glad he did as the odds were against us both times.
