Day 4 stims - feeling a bit rotten

Hello all. I’m in my first cycle (flare-short protocol) and was pretty much feeling completely normal up until today! I’ve had three days of injections and today just feeling off and really tired. I know this is to be expected so not looking for anything other than some virtual hugs and empathy! It just helps to be able to post here where I know you will understand how I’m feeling.

I’ve not heard of flare protocol, what does that look like?x

Thanks! I know I’d never heard of the flare protocol either. I had to take norethisterone on day 21 of my cycle for 9 days, then had a single Prostap IM injection 5 days after stopping (after they checked I was having a proper period after stopping norethisterone). I then started gonal f injections last Thursday and have scan on Wednesday to check progress. I think it’s a bit like a short protocol?

Sorry to hear you're feeling off. Totally normal to experience tiredness as a side effect. I would also describe feeling foggy in the head. Hope it eases as you get used to the medication and also that you respond well so that egg collection isn't that long away!

Hi NS. So sorry to hear this. These drugs work on the pituitary gland in your brain, so as you now know they can cause you to feel quite wretched. Try drinking some extra water, as it sometimes helps, and can't harm you. Not too long to go before the next stage. Thinking of you. Diane

Thanks Diane. Feeling better today, I rested all day yesterday with lots of water and head is feeling a lot clearer now! Going to go out for a walk today as well.
