Hi I was diagnosed with endometriosis nearly 8 years, had really heavy periods and flare ups which affected my bowell( constipation) and constantly bleeding but over the last couple of weeks I had cramping on both sides of my abdomen with pelvic pain feels like s.p.d in pregnancy) and although the pain and cramps are still there I have had no bleeding for just over a week had a really light pink show but that’s it my mum thinks the cramping was me ovulating and the blood stopping is pregnancy is she right or is it just the endometriosis getting worse thank you

Is it endometriosis getting worse
Hi Issabelle,
Welcome 😊
Sorry that you're going through such a rough time with endo 😥 I also have endometriosis but, as you're probably aware symptoms present in so many different ways for different women. For me, pain and cramps are near constant with only 3-4 days respite per cycle (average 28 day cycles). So for me, if the pain stopped longer than that I'd be curious if something was going on down there too!!
Could I check if you've been through a recent cycle of IVF/assisted fertility treatment and have an OTD? Or trying naturally? Also, do you know whether/when you ovulate so you can track when your actual period would be due, to time testing with a pregnancy test? I read that you have had no bleeding for 1 week other than spotting, does this mean your period is 1 week late? xx
Hi thank you for replying,
I haven’t had ivf I’m not even trying to get pregnant I have 3 children oldest 17 youngest 10 I had a miscarriage, and since the miscarriage I constantly bleed very heavy with clots, it’s really hard to explain other than to say, I do feel I still have a cycle like the first week I feel really tired and have no appetite, then the second week I’m (constipated) which results in no appetite and I can’t hold my bladder I’m constantly needing the toilet the third week I’m really lethargic have no energy at all then on the fourth week I have a massive bleed lots of clotting where my doc prescribed mefenamic acid and transamic acid to stop the bleed, but the pills only stop the clothing alway through this four week cycle I constantly bleed but not clot until the fourth week and I have the constant cramping and pain but the pelvic pain is kinda new and suddenly the bleeding has just stopped, I’m not sure if you can understand what I have written it’s hard to explain, I do normally take evening primrose could it be that it’s just unusual for me to not bleed and have this stiff pelvis thank you
I'm sorry you had a miscarriage 😥 have you done a pregnancy test? Xx
No not yet, I’m thinking I should can I ask though Is it possible not to bleed with endometriosis I mean is there some women with this condition who don’t bleed.
I don't bleed at all outwith my period (3-4 days of heavy flow with clots, sometimes soaking through thickest pads and clothes). I don't even experience any spotting at all outwith my period but my pain is constant. If you experience no period at all it's either most likely to be delayed ovulation, an anovulatory cycle or could it be your meds?
I think it would be a good idea to do a pregnancy test. If you are not pregnant maybe a trip back to your GP to discuss the meds and your recent changes in symptoms xx
Also - I meant to say, if you haven't already you may get better luck/more response by posting on Endometriosis UK site as most people here are going through IVF, IUI or are being assisted with fertility and struggling to get pregnant. On the Endo UK site here you will have a wider access to women with the condition who will hopefully share their experience too to help you out. In the search box at the top just type 'Endometriosis UK' and choose 'Communities' and it should come up. Best wishes xx
Thank you for replying to me, I didn’t realise I thought it went across all the sites, I do apologise I feel I have been really insensitive I wish you all the best, I will remove this post again my apologies.
Oh no - you haven't been insensitive, not at all!! I'm sorry if my reply made you feel that way. I just meant that's probably why you haven't had many people respond to the post on the Fertility boards. Endo UK board is brill - I'm on it too and tend to post my endo questions there for support 🙂 xx
