20 eggs collected, 7 fertilised ...

This is my 2nd fresh cycle and yesterday was the EC. In the end we had to do ICSI as the sperm on the day wasn't good enough. This happened last time which is annoying, as every time husband does a sperm sample, it's always brilliant! Typical! But doc said it goes up and down so can't really control it. There's other factors like recent flu, stress etc. Anyway....

They collected 20 eggs which i was thrilled about and I got a call this morning to say 3 didn't fertilise, 6 didn't survive injection but 7 did fertilise. So now we're hoping they get to day 5. Embryologist said it was good news and she expects some to not make it. So if all well, Sunday is the transfer.

My 1st fresh cycle was a bit better, 19 collected, 9 fertilised and 6 viable. But out of those 6, they were all failed transfers so i'm praying these new little ones are more successful!

Anyone else go in for IVF which turned to ICSI? and how many eggs were collected? xx

Hey Mura! How are you? I hope you are doing well. 20 eggs, that is a huge number girl. But the number is not the thing that matters here. It's the quality that matters. But 7 of them fertilized so i am hopeful that this is your time. You need to be calm and patient. Everything will be alright. Please keep us updated about your treatment. Good luck! Stay blessed. Take care. Bye!

Hi Mura! How are you now? I am positive that this time things will work out for you. Although you have 2 less eggs fertilized then before but it depends on the quality. Not the quantity. I have also had my baby through IVF. The first experiences i had were not that good, but after that when i changed my clinic. Things got better for me. I hope that things go well for you this time as well. Please keep us updated on your journey. Stay blessed. Take care. Good luck! Bye!

Hey Mura. I hope you are feeling better. It's always important to see if the quality of those eggs is good. Amount matters but not as much as quality. The amount of eggs just increases your chances of success. But if you have less amount of eggs and the quality is good, then you won't have to worry about anything. Take good care of yourself and be patient. Things will work out for you eventually. Just pray, i will do the same for you. Please tell us if it works out. Good luck! Stay blessed. Take care. Bye!
