It is probably best to freeze eggs when you have fertility investigations.

This is probably more economical and increases success?

What to do you think? I wish could have afforded to two years ago

Frozen embryos opposed to frozen eggs defrost much better. Here is a link I put on a while ago with an interesting read.

Hi. Unfortunately frozen eggs don’t defrost as well as frozen embryos and the HFEA also say the success rate of using your own frozen eggs is about 18%. They also say that if you are freezing your own eggs over the age of 40 the chance of a successful pregnancy is very slim and they would caution against it being a sensible option. I’m sorry that this probably isn’t the answer you were hoping for x

Honestly, no. The HFEA says the optimal age for egg freezing is 20-30, but before 35 as egg quality declines after this age. Also if you are doing egg freezing, the older you are the more rounds of egg collection you may need to collect the preferred number of eggs, which is expensive and involves a lot of meds and egg retrieval’s which is invasive on your body. Donor eggs may give you better results if that is an option for you x

Is freezing embryo ethical

Why would it not be ethical?

What happens if you don't use them

They sit in the freezer, they can be donated, or are removed from the freezer and allowed to perish naturally
