Anyone had a chemical pregnancy? hcg 185

So I have had a completely full period but then I had a BFP on the blood test at my clinic. Hcg is 185 and the test was very dark positive. We are wary and were told it could be a chemical or ectopic....basically the clinic were wary and confused like I am.

I am low progesterone at 21 and need to start lubion "while we figure out what's going on" the consultant said.

Just wondering of those with experience...How long would I keep testing positive after I have gotten my period?

I am getting further hcg level tomorrow but would just like to hear people experiences?

Congrats on BFP I can’t comment on the HCG levels as I never had any HCG blood tests.

I had a chemical pregnancy 2 years ago & it was negative day after the bleeding had started my levels dropped straight away. But I have bled early in both full term pregnancies ( with my 21 year old son & 5 month old daughter)& been okay. Sometimes bleeding isn’t always the end.

I hope the progesterone increased helps your pregnancy to progress further.

If you are in any doubt if it is a ectopic pregnancy get to a hospital ASAP as it can be dangerous. xxx

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I'm trying not to get too optimistic as I don't want to get crushed.

Don't worry, if I feel any pain or ectopic symptoms I'll be down to a&e like a rocket.

Hey violet, I see that you had 2 embryos put back. There may be the possibility that one has gone and the other is still there. There is unfortunately no way to know until you get another hCG done to see I'd rising or falling. Hopefully the lubion will bolster your levels of progesterone up. My chemical started off with a positive from 7dp5dt but on day 16 my levels were only 126 which showed levels were rising properly as should have been much higher by then if doubling every 48hrs. The BFP before that we sint get a positive until day 12 and my levels were 124 at the same point. Hugs, it's horrible being in limbo land. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.xx
