Viability scan at 6w 4d - will they be able to pick up a heartbeat?

I have my viability (hate that word!) on Tuesday and I will be 6 weeks and 4 days. I was wondering if they will be able to pick up a heartbeat that early on?

Hi, I have mine on Wednesday, will be 6w 3d. They told me they may be able to detect a heartbeat but not to worry if they didn’t. If the dont find one they said they’d do another scan the following week.

Wishing you all the very best for Tuesday ❤️ xx

In my experience they found baby's heartbeat at 5w 4d, so I hope you get to hear it! It's the most amazing thing xx

I'm sure it will be lovely, but I understand it's a very anxious time. Best of luck x

We had a scan at 6+2 and there was a heart beat but Dr warned us beforehand that it might be too early still. Hope you get to hear it. It's a lovely moment and it will settle any anxiety xxx

We had ours at 6w 1d and got to both see and hear the heartbeat which was magical. But it is different for everyone. Best wishes x

Youre right on the cusp I think, but I had mine at 6+2 and saw the heartbeat, I believe more people see it than dont at this stage. Good luck x

We had a scan at 5w6d they heard nothing but saw the yolk sac and then had one at 7w1d and saw the flicker of the heartbeat..... sometimes you can see as early as 6w0d but I wouldn't worry if you cant the sonographer will see if they are growing as they should and that will be enough to be "viable" (I hate that word too xx

I have my scan tomorrow and will be 6+6 so I hope there there is a visible heart beat. I suppose everyone is different. Good luck for Tuesday xx
