3 rounds of failed ICSI and currently on donor waiting list but they advised husband to have DNA fragmentation test even though sperm results have come back fine in other tests.
We were told they would email him the results but clinic has since telephoned to ask us to go in for an appointment for the results.
Thinking this sounds like more bad news.
Anyone got any experience of this?
Thank you xx

My husband had a DNA fragmentation test done, due to his age, he was 55 then. They posted us the results with a covering letter stating everything fine apart from the morphology was slightly down and suggested some supplements.
I wouldn’t worry it might just be your clinics way of doing things
My husband doesn’t eat veg apart from potatoes, and he’s cut his alcohol intake out apart from the odd one or two but that’s rare now. His normal sperm test came back in normal range, but we decided to have the fragmentation test due to his age, and they found the morphology (or shapes in layman’s terms) were slightly under but said there was nothing to worry about.
I’ve just turned 40, had my eggs collected when I was 39 and only 2 have made it the FET stage, I used one earlier in the year and it implanted but died. So using my second one next month.
I’ve been reading ‘It starts with the Egg’ very interesting book which is written referring to scientific studies. Our consultant didn’t mention hardly anything written in this book especially about supplements - so chances are as the writer suggests they may not be up to date with the latest studies
If your husband had tests and you’re doing icsi, has he a low count? My husband had low count and we used icsi and kept getting nowhere. Ultimately sperm that’s not great with my eggs at 39 then 40- but 1 cycle with donor eggs gave us a perfect girl. Our doctor explained a very healthy egg can work well with poor sperm, so as you’re going down the donor egg route - his low quality will matter less ( unless you are under 35 and very healthy, which in that case donor sperm may be suggested after 3 failed icsi cycles . Hope it all goes well
