This might be a slightly random post but Iāve been reading lots of articles (as you do after transfer) and Iāve read differing opinions on whether itās safe to have an orgasm or not during the 2ww.
What does everyone think? Does anyone believe that it helps with implantation?

Iām 8 weeks 2 days pregnant and I masturbated twice during the two week wait. This is a tricky subject to get any clear advice on and I wouldnāt want to recommend either way. All I can say is that in my experience, it hasnāt had a detrimental affect and implantation obviously happened. I read some scare-mongering article online about the contractions from orgasm having a bad affect, but other sources online said it was healthy and safe. The nurse at our fertility clinic advised against intercourse and said to avoid having sex until after 12 week scan. She did however say that this is not because it could cause miscarriage, but rather that it can lead to bleeding which would cause unnecessary worry and stress.
Hey, so I was told unequivocally not to have sex (well unprotected sex) during the whole cycle and after embryo transfer (during the 2 week wait) is a definite no no for sex and masturbation. I laughed when they said no to masturbation - and when I asked why they replied because the contraption of the muscles during an orgasm can dislodge the embryo - But thatās just recommendations of my clinic. I know other clinics donāt have a problem with it - which is so weird! Xx
My clinic say no sex after transfer.....the leaflet actually says "Vaginal rest - nothing in the vagina: no tampons, no sexual relations of any kind until otherwise specified". I have never taken the risk but have seen other ladies get BFP's after having intercourse so who knows!xx
I found that I had no choice during 2WW and early pregnancy, I had at least 4/5 spontaneous orgasms while sleeping. I remember waking up worried that something may have dislodged but I'm 17 weeks now so it can't have done any harm for me šx
My printout said no sex, but my doctor recommended it on the date of the transfer or the next one (canāt remember), as she said sperm can act as a glue. She said there were some recent studies that showed this could help, but there is nothing 100% proven yet. We were a bit afraid, did it and I had no orgasm. However, I had 2 spontaneous orgasms during the 2ww and was a bit worried. I am now 29 weeks pregnant. Donāt know if the sex or orgasms helped, but donāt seem to have hurt xx
Hey don't worry i have 3 failed cycle and during my 4th implantation i got pleasure by masterbation 3 times during my hilarious 2ww and i got positive result yesterday....
