Advice - questions to ask at first consultation after failed FET

Hi lovelies

Hope you’re all well and having a good week so far.

My hubby and I are meeting our consultant tomorrow after our failed FET result a couple of weeks ago which was I first ever transfer.

Any advice about what questions we should ask?

Thanks so much in advance. 💪🌈❤️🍀xxx

I have the very same question! I've manage to get them to agree to imsi, endometrial scratch and hsg test for next cycle. I'm so wiped out by sadness following first failed FET that I'm trying to throw everything at next cycle. I'm also taking inofolic (the clinics advice), omega 3 and coq10. Also trying to follow a med diet.

I'd be really interested to know what I should be asking too as I'm finding REALLY difficult to understand and cope with why it failed and my anxiety and paranoia is through the roof since it failed xx

Hi Jessy. Thank you for your message. So sorry to hear you’re having a tough time. I feel exactly the same and I’m considering getting getting further counselling to help. I have had a session with our IVF counsellor recently which was really helpful but we don’t live close to our clinic so sessions are over Skype or the phone. They are helpful but I think I would benefit from face to face sessions too so I’m exploring this through our employee support programme at work as it’s all confidential. I’m hoping it will get easier once I have a plan in place for my next cycle too.

Good for you for trying everything to help. I’m definitely going to ask about an endometrial scratch this time too.

Sending you big hugs and hopefully our next cycles will be our time. 💪🤞🍀🌈🤗 xxx

I'm just waiting for my planning appointment. They said I have to ring them day 1 of my cycle to book in for treatment planning and my hsg test. I then start treatment 3 weeks from then so we're off on hols before that. Hopefully I'll be more chilled to start when we come back. Roll on September!

Definitely throwing everything at it this time. I know endometrial scratch is not proven but at this point I'll give anything a go. Fingers crossed next cycle we both get our bfps. Where are you based Kat? xx

Hi Kat,

I have my follow up tomorrow too 😬.

I couldn’t think of any questions last time so am not much use but it was very consultant led anyway. Just wanted to say good luck with it! Xx
