Hi ladies, I'm so sorry I'm so boring with yet another acid reflux question but I've never experienced anything like this!!! 😣 It's making me absolutely miserable. I was prescribed 20mg Omeprazole once a day a week ago and Doc said might need higher dose. It definitely has eased it slightly but only getting relief for part of the day. I've experimented with times of day and best when take 1st thing in morning but think I maybe need to take morning and night. Any of you lovely ladies taken twice a day and safe? My oesophagus is still raw and my voice is still very hoarse and have a bloody persistent cough with it.
I'm 11 weeks and hoping symptoms ease but please let me know if you've taken twice a day and all was well.
Thank you x

I take it once a day, like you, first thing in the morning. It made a huge difference, quite quickly, for a while, but the reflux is creeping in again at night time. However I find that a bit of Gaviscon before bed helps keep the night time attack at bay (whereas before I took the Omeprazole, Gaviscon didn’t touch the sides!) xx
I've been taking omeprazole 40mg daily since before I started my IVF and I'm now almost 6w pregnant. The bumps link shared above is great, and will hopefully give you reassurance about omeprazole x
Thanks yeh I think that had been my problem that I was trying different times of day. I've settled on first thing about 7.30am and it is definitely helping. It's just that late afternoon/early evening it rears its head again so I'm going to try taking some gaviscon to keep it at bay in the evening. 🙏😊
