Hi Chantelle07. Well done! Time for a rest now, and drink plenty of water. Hope all goes well with fertilisation and embryo transfer when it happens. Good luck! Diane
Well done Chantelle. I had 29 eggs collected last Friday so just as a bit of advice being almost a week forward in time - this may not happen for you but be prepared for those numbers to drop as they progress. We had 24 mature eggs, 16 fertilised, 13 embryos at day-3 and will find out today but looks like we’ll have 5 embryos at day 5/6. It can feel like a shock for the numbers to go down so much but that’s because they’re picking out the absolute best for you.
The other thing that I’m sure the clinic has warned you about of course is OHSS. I seem to have got away with it so far, just some minor discomfort, so they were happy to put a little 5AB embryo in yesterday 😄 but I was very unwell after my first cycle and had to freeze all. It can be very serious so be 100% honest to your clinic about your symptoms, take it easy and as Diane said lots of fluid!
It can feel frustrating to be told to have a freeze all but it’s all for the best in the long-run. Just tell yourself that you can have mulled wine over Christmas if that happens 😆
Thank you so much for your reply and you are totally right, just had the call and out of 28 eggs, 16 of them were mature and 9 of them have fertilise! Just how these numbers are good now 🙏🏻 I seem to have avoided OHSS at the minute which is great 😁 xxx
