You may have read my post from earlier this week asking if anyone had ever had a false negative pregnancy test when their monthly cycle was late and they showed no sign of monthly symptoms. I rang the doctors after a few responses here and they advised waiting and doing a test with them today, by when they expected either to get a result or that I’d have started my cycle late. Today I tested negative at the doctors and there’s still no sign of anything else, I’m finding it frustrating that no-one has any suggestions of what to do next and as our clinic is a part-time NHS one there’s not a way of getting in touch with them for advice until Tuesday. I had a naturally conceived MMC in autumn last year so at that point we know I could get pregnant despite the initial tests saying it was unlikely. Our next appointment with the IVF clinic isn’t until Mid-September as we are waiting for semen test results currently and my final tests were taken in late June/early July. Today I asked my doctors for my AMH results and other test data from the start of July and they wouldn’t give it to me as they didn’t understand what it meant despite the information being available to them.
A few weeks back when I started my work holidays I felt positive; there were 6 relatively stress-free weeks ahead for us where we could just have fun together, give everything our best shot without any pressure of any more tests before the next phase of appointments (and even possibly be one of the very rare couples that go for their consultant appointment already unknowingly pregnant after they’d accepted they needed help and relaxed about it.... ) now I don’t even know if it’s possible to be pregnant at all or if I’m possibly menopausal!!!! I’m driving myself loopy... help!!!!

I can totally empathise with your confusion. I don’t really have any advice but I have been in a similar situation.
After a year of trying with regular cycles. My period was 4 weeks late. I took soooo many pregnancy tests, my GP did a blood test and couldn’t explain it. He referred us to the fertility clinic.
After my first 56 day cycle, the next one was 70 days and the next was 59. By this point we had done all the basic tests and I was prescribed Clomid to help me ovulate regularly. We didn’t get pregnant but it was nice to have regular cycles again. When I came off Clomid I had two fairly regular cycles before starting IVF.
I never really got an explanation. I totally panicked about being menopausal but the clinic has never made any suggestion of that.
Have you tried tracking your basal body temperature? This will help you to work out whether you are ovulating.
It sounds like you are progressing through the appointments. It can be so hard waiting. I was prescribed norethisterone to make me have a period be for I took Clomid so my lack of a regular cycle didn’t hold up getting started.
I’ve been Clearblue ovulation tracking for around 6 months after the said they couldn’t find my ovulation point. I’ve ovulated every month but I ovulate later than they expected. I think the reflexology sessions I have has helped to make my periods heavier as they were concerned about them being light and my womb lining being at an acceptable but thin level. It’s got me stumped this month as I’ve never been longer than 29 days!
I didn’t know that! I’ve been having reflexology and one of the things we have worked on is my progesterone production as I had a MMC last year. Thankyou for the information!
