Why does ivf fail if u had a baby naturally before?
Hi I’m really sorry you’re going through this and feeling really down about it, which is understandable- it’s a really sad and stressful time and important to recognise that and process it. I’m not in quite the same situation but I have a 2.5 year old son and have since had 2 miscarriages. I think it’s just a really complicated process and it’s nothing that we’ve done to cause it and you just have to deal with it all as best you can say to day. I think it’s human nature to want answers so it’s incredibly frustrating. I hope some magic happens for you and you find a happy place with it all. I’ve had some really dark days with it all too and currently having a break from trying and have found some peace with it for a time but I’m sure there’ll be more really hard steps to come. Perhaps some counselling would help with dealing with it all?
Im sorry you had losses.. i have not lost a baby im just feeling like ivf wont work for me and im having ivf in October im feeling very low because i read all these horrible stories of ivf not working for people...
I’m sorry, it must be a really stressful thing to go through. I really hope it works out for you in October. Waiting is so difficult.
Hi, my partner and I have a 5 year old daughter, she took us over 2 years to conceive. We have since found out my partner has a very low sperm count and have had ICSI. Our consultant told us our chances were good, partly because we already had a child. We hoped and expected it would be straightforward. We had a BFP with our first round but the embryo split and we had a MMC at 9w. Our first frozen transfer was a BFN and I am now pregnant after our second frozen transfer. I’ve learnt that IVF isn’t always straightforward but it offers us hope that we wouldn’t otherwise have. I was told it’s possible to conceive naturally but chances are low, ivf simply increases your odds with each try. Good luck with your cycle xx
Firstly sorry for your miscarriage that is very sad...
Did you feel like me before u started ivf? They gave us 50 percent chance so far... my husband has low morphology only 2% hence why ivf,/icsi btw where did u have ur treatment? And congratulations xx
They gave us a 50% chance per embryo transferred. I felt excited, I was very naive to the whole process I just couldn’t wait to get started as I wanted another baby so badly..I thought a negative test was the worst thing that could happen. We are with nurture, Nottingham x
Wow but it worked in the end for you. Which is great! How much did u pay?
Lots!! We took a 3 cycle 50% refund package through access + drugs. I hope this is our time although I’m very aware it could all still go wrong. It could very well be your time soon so don’t lose hope x
Will keep u up dated xxx
Hey. Sorry to hear you’re feeling low. I have had 2 natural pregnancies with my husband, neither past 12 weeks. Ivf didn’t work for me the first time and then has the second time. (2 weeks pregnant!) keep your faith and good luck. There are so many inspirational stories you need to focus on, try not to be negative before you start as its a long hard emotional rollercoaster. Xx
Hi thanks for your message it really helped xxx i never had ivf before and when u hear these negative stories really scares u but thanks you helped. Xxx
Hi I thought I would share my story, I had a natural pregnancy he's 8 now, with a previous partner. With my now partner we had to have ivf due to male factor infertility, it took us 1 cycle of ivf with 3 transfers to achieve our miracle. Now 15 week pregnant. Our first fresh transfer failed, second was a frozen transfer of one embryo this resulted in a chemical pregnancy, and our final third transfer they agreed to replace our last 2 frozen embryos which resulted in a singleton pregnancy. What I found helped for me in my final transfer was to carry on as normal as possible after transfer with daily life. My first 2 transfers I stayed at home and was to scared to do anything for fear it would stop it from working. I think staying active and keeping my mind busy in our 3rd transfer really helped it to work :). Good look on your journey I hope you get your bfp xx
Thanks for your message deffo understand what you mean keep your mind busy and reading your story helped loads. Thanks xx
Hi, we have a 5 year old daughter in which we conceived naturally and very quickly, we tried for almost 3 years for another child. Diagnosed with secondary infertility And needed IVF, we caught first time with only one egg remaining after 5 days and I’m
Now 21weeks pregnant. It can be done, keep trying. Best of luck to you xxx
I really really hope this will be the case for me. Xxx and thankyou and congratulations xx
