Hi all, im a newbie at this & tomorrow i am hopefully going to have my embryo transfer. Im so scared of it not working or the consultant saying they arent able to do it due to me being borderline OHSS. Does anyone have any tips they can share on how to calm your nerves? My husband is so calm and collected about this all but im freaking out!
Many thanks in advance x

Welcome to this rollercoaster! I have found there are some great mindfulness apps out there specifically for ivf which have really helped me when everything else has been out of control! I have similar issues with a very pragmatic practical ‘what will be will be’ OH which is great 90% of our life but DOES NOT HELP during ivf 😂🤣
Looking back over my past year of trying I would tell myself (and you) .. try not to stress until you need to, it’s wasted energy and time and accomplishes absolutely nothing. Also pregnancy symptoms are EXACTLY the same as AF symptoms, so when you think you are out there’s a good chance you aren’t, and finally keep telling yourself the old cliche life is a journey not a destination. Particularly my last round I’ve focused so much on the result I’ve lost sight of what a great life I’ve got... finally don’t test early - it achieves nothing but more worry! wishing you masses of luck xx
hi, I had my first transfer on Monday, its a stressful time and its natural to worry. Try to make the day as positive and happy as possible. Plan to do relaxing things you enjoy before and after the transfer if possible, and best of luck. Plenty of us on here if you need a chat xo
