Quick question.... so today I asked the Nurse to remind me what is best to ensure optimum sperm sample for Friday. I recall supposed to regularly ejaculate & then abstain for certain period of time.
She advised to get my partner to do a sample tonight & discard then that will ensure good quality for Friday.
However just read over paperwork I received today about EC and it states if doing IVF he should abstain for 3-7 days.... confused 🤷♂️

From what I remember, we were told to last ejaculate 2-3 days before EC date. Definitely NOT the day before as there might not be enough sperm ready next day 😉
I just read through your profile, think we are both on a similar journey to get our sibling for our miracle child.
So sorry you’ve had 2 failed FET’s. Were you offered embryo glue ? I ask this as I also had 2 failed FET’s despite enquiring about the glue they felt as I had already had a successful IVF pregnancy I did not need it as it comes with risks. Then I hear of same clinic giving it to women who have successfully FETs . Very frustrating, sometimes depends what consultant you get. So I am now on my 3rd fresh private cycle in my desperate attempt to give my son a sibling. We keep saying this is Defo a girl as she has cost us a blooming fortune.... surely be worth it in the end for both of us. Good luck and defo look into the glue for your next attempt as meant work good for frozen x
Nice to have a partner in crime on a similar journey. Really admire your persistence, I’m not sure I could go through three fresh cycles again! I’ve said (now... I guess time will tell) that I draw the limit at using all our Frosties. We had seven of them, so now five left. I don’t think I can bare another fresh cycle. And these Frosties are good quality, so if not with them, then surely my time is over?! Time is not on my side though not as pressured as you - still/already 40... I guess here it’s where I’ve been lucky with my second fresh cycle yielding such a good crop!
Thanks for the tip on embryo glue. Will enquire with the clinic though doubt it’s an option. We’re in the public system where they let us have free transfers of the embryos created through your attempts for your first child. No upselling, no extra costs, but also no options offered so far...
I briefly spoke to the consultant on the phone after my chemical and she said it was just ‘one of those things - numbers game - unlucky’. Doesn’t seem like they’re planning on doing anything different next round. It better works next one up, I’m losing my stamina... 🤞🏻
Thanks ,just confused by the conflicting advice I received today and what’s on my paperwork. We did the deed on Monday as was day 7 of stimms so hoping that will suffice 🤞🏼
