how long have people waited between rounds of ivf on the nhs??

Hi all,

I was just wondering how long people waited after the first round of ivf on the nhs please?? I had a miscarriage in April and had to wait for my AF before I could call and say I’d had it! and now I’m waiting to start again we have 9 frozen embies so we don’t need to do the egg collection again and wanted to be realistic and see how long others had waited??

Hi,

In my clinic the follow up after a failed cycle is always booked for 8 weeks after OTD. They let us start meds the same day last time - I think for a frozen transfer about 2 months is usual xx

I have to have a withdrawal bleed then a ‘true period’ then can start meds on the next period if that makes sense? Usually works out about 2 months between BFN and beginning FET cycle for me xx

I’m on my second FET cycle. First full fresh embryo cycle ended in miscarriage last Nov and we started the FET cycle in Jan. This unfortunately ended in negative pregnancy test in March. Started current cycle 1st June. Doc recommended a longer gap in between this time around, so I had period in March (following failed cycle), one in April, one in May. The June period was from downgrading while on Suprecur injections. Good luck to you, we had 9 frozen embryos too, now down to 4 though.
