How much Time to Start IVF-NHS

Hi All!

Warm Greetings!!

We are trying to conceive and after a long wait, the doctor recommended us for IVF.

I am done with Xray, Scans and HSG and now waiting to visit the doctor again.

I am anxious to know what would be next step and how long does it take to actually begin the IVF process. Replies would be highly appreciated!

My GP started to prescribe me tests on Feb18 and I received today the approval for the NHS funding, however losing both tubes due to an ectopic pregnancy may have speed up things a bit (I've been told that from the first test to the funding is about 9-12 months, 7 for us). From now, I have no idea

Hi

In my own case, after initial tests I had to lose weight and have a Laparoscopy before my GP would refer me (NHS funding 2 cycles).

The clinic where I am is fairly quick providing they have no staffing issues but they can refuse you up to three times depending on how busy they are.

Hey! I hope you're doing well. Nervous most likely? I'm truly happy for you. It seems to be going well. How did you come across IVF? Must be a tough decision to make. I think you'd do very well with it. The progress seems to be going well too. Often times, from what I've heard, IVF isn't successful in the first round. Please don't let that bring you down. I'd hate for that to happen. I think you should keep your hopes up. You'll conceive soon, surely. I really wish you all the best for your treatment. Good luck!
