After a BFN earlier in the year, we decided to explore other options with a new clinic - mainly immunology. We had an initial consultation at the new clinic and a lot of bloods taken, costing £2,000. We were told by the consultant and nurse that Skype or telephone follow-up consultations were possible as we live 3hrs from the clinic and my husband is self-employed so would have to lose a days pay just for a 10min consultation. We’ve now been told that all consultations MUST be face to face otherwise we won’t get the results?
My husband is fuming and thinks that they only want to get us there to tell us the results aren’t clear enough and to sell us more tests. I’m starting to agree with him and are losing faith in this new clinic.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Is a clinic insisting on a Face to Face consultation normal?
